About Director

Darren Huntting

A beach bum from Huntington Beach, California, Darren Huntting moved to Havasu six years ago with his lovely and talented wife (Barbara) and their three children (Corey, Codey and Carissa). He holds a Master’s degree in Music from Azusa Pacific University.

As well as being the Director of Music for the Lake Havasu Community Choir, Darren also is the part-time Worship Pastor at St. Michael’s United Methodist Church. Darren has a HUGE passion for choral music and would love to see in Havasu an adult and children’s community choir that could compete with any large city choir.

Darren has been very involved in theater and the arts since he was a child. His favorite jobs have been as the Lake Havasu Community Choir Director, a singer/cast member at Disneyland, and his extensive vocal studio recording experiences. Most recently, you may have seen Darren as King Arthur in Grace Arts Live’s production of Camelot. Darren has directed many choirs, musicals and dramas in his 18 years of teaching in schools, directing at different churches and community theater.

The choir has donated more than $6,000 to non-profit organizations (Pregnancy Care, Haven House, Food For Kids, our local school district, etc.) mainly from the proceeds of our annual Community Passion Play.

Darren is thrilled to be musical director for the Lake Havasu Community Choir and is looking forward to new and exciting things for the choir in the future. Darren is proud of how hard the choir has worked to give back to the community.
